A Real Passion For Drums

BIO

William Barbieri (drums), a native Montrealer started the drums at 8 years old and was recruited by his brother into a rock band called “Feedback” two years later. They performed cover songs from AC/DC, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, U2 and the Black Keys and played many community events, High School talent shows, battles of the bands, and restaurant gigs. Barbieri developed a taste for Jazz and was heavily influenced by the drummers such as Neil Peart, Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Todd Sucherman, Tony Williams and Elvin Jones while blending in with other aspiring musicians at Vanier College. He is also the drummer of the progressive punk-rock band, “Lost Lighthouse” that has released their debut EP titled "Heterochromia" and toured in Ontario and Quebec. Complimenting his love of the drum kit, Barbieri also plays percussion for the West Island Youth Symphony Orchestra, performing at several churches, concert halls, and municipal events. He now studies Specialization in Jazz at Concordia University, making more musical connections with other fellow musicians.
